HMBS Lawrence Major transports firefighting equipment to Crooked Island

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force's (RBDF) recently acquired landing craft HMBS Lawrence Major, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Milton Munroe, recently departed the John Alfred Wharf en route to Crooked Island to transport the Royal Bahamas Police Force's fire truck and additional firefighting equipment to Crooked Island.

Renzo Construction Awarded Contract To Repair Crooked Island high school

The government awarded a $280,000 contract to Renzo Construction yesterday for the repair of Colonel Hill High School on Crooked Island more than a year after Hurricane Irene damaged it.
Work is expected to start in two weeks said Lorenzo Moss, owner of Renzo Construction. It is expected to be completed before the end of June.
